Installation
SANS
Project: Installation for CPH Art Run 2017, conceived and executed in collaboration with Claire Donohoe under the name Donohoe // Willersted.
SANS is a spatial sensory image created for CPH Art Run 2017 - an installation through which the viewer or participant could move and become stimulated by a range of sensory impressions. These sensations stood in stark contrast to those typically associated with the natural surroundings near Arken at Ishøj Strand.
In creating SANS, we explored the tension between nature and culture, focusing on materiality and embodied perception. Our aim was to amplify and highlight the sensory experience - both of the installation itself and its setting.
We wanted SANS to be simultaneously alluring and repellent; fascinating and out of place. Its loud colours and artificial materials deliberately disrupted the natural beauty of Ishøj Strand.
The installation engaged all senses - touch, sight, hearing, taste, and smell - for those who moved through it.
DrømmeSamlingen
Project: Installation for CPH Art Run 2016. Interactive installation. Concept and execution.
What do you dream about? Are you chasing your dreams? What do you dream about in your everyday life? Do you dare to dream big and unrealistically? What are your dreams for your loved ones? For the future?
The Dream Collection is an interactive installation centered around the theme of dreams. As the title suggests, the piece is a growing archive of dreams - continuously written down and added to a shared collection. Everyone is invited to contribute their own dreams and take an active role in shaping The Dream Collection.
Dreams are among the most powerful forces for change and growth - both on a personal level and in society at large. They help shape who we are. In dreams, anything is possible. Big dreams challenge and provoke our thinking, pushing the boundaries of what we believe is achievable.
Dreams carry hope and faith in the future.
Do you dare to keep dreaming - throughout your life?
